Our "self portrait" :) |
Then, we were off to make it back home and change in JUST enough time to make it to THE event of the year for us (so far)...The Power of Passion Tour with the AMAZING Jerry Ghionis and Sandy Puc. The vendors Sandy brings on board for her tours are always top notch, and so helpful! It is always inspiring just to go around and actually get to look at the products and get so many of your questions answered. Anyway, other than being blown away by all of the priceless information we learned from the both of them, Jerry had been pulling people from the audience to help demonstrate different types of posing at weddings-HE SO CALLED AMANDA AND ME ON STAGE! I was so nervous, I was actually shaking. Maybe that was from how hard we were all laughing, but I'm pretty sure it was due to how nervous I was to be standing on that stage in front of all of those people. I felt like an idiot, but it was hilarious.
Sandy and Jerry are both incredible people to me, not only because of how talented they are and the fact that they are so willing to educate other photographers (all while not being pretentious or egotistical about it), but the fact that they both simply just get it. They fully understand what photography is all about. It has to come from your heart. Photography is a very emotional thing and it should be treated that way. When you do any type of session for any client, it should always be taken very seriously. Always remember that they are someone's best friend, mother, child, wife, etc. Best advice ever. Keeping the emotion in your work keeps lasting relationships with your clients and it does make them more than just clients-it makes them friends who trust you and feel comfortable coming back to you for all the other important milestones in their lives.
